There are some R&B groups that just stick with you.

For me, Day26 has always been one of those groups. Watching them form on Making the Band 4 and seeing the chemistry build between the members in real time made fans feel connected to their journey from the very beginning.

From the rehearsals to the challenges to the big moment when the group was finally formed by Diddy, it felt like we were all watching something special come together.

When their self-titled debut album finally dropped, they delivered exactly what fans were hoping for. The project captured the sound of R&B during that era — smooth vocals, emotional storytelling, and harmonies that reminded people why vocal groups were so important to the genre.

Songs like “Got Me Going,” “Since You’ve Been Gone,” and “In My Bed” quickly became fan favorites. Each member brought something different to the group, but together they created a sound that felt cohesive, honest, and memorable.

For many of us who grew up during that time, Day26 represents a special moment in R&B. Their music brings back memories of watching music videos after school, arguing about favorite members, and playing those songs that perfectly captured love, heartbreak, and relationships.

That nostalgia is exactly why their music still connects today.

Now fans will have the chance to experience that energy live again, because Day26 is officially hitting the road for a tour. For longtime fans, it’s an opportunity to hear the songs that helped define that era of R&B. For newer listeners, it’s a chance to experience the group’s harmonies and stage presence live.

To celebrate this week’s Throwback Thursday, I shared some of my personal favorite Day26 songs — the ones that still hold up years later. Also, check out their latest project titled, “Day Ones.”
