North Carolina’s genre-bending star TiaCorine is back with another cinematic moment.
She just released the official music video for “Was Hannin” featuring Wiz Khalifa — a standout from her acclaimed album CORINIAN, out now via Interscope Records.
The video opens backstage at a strip club where Tia is getting ready alongside two dancers, while a split-screen shows Wiz making his way through security. It feels flashy at first — money flying, confident performances, late-night energy — but the storyline takes a sharp turn. What unfolds blends heist-film suspense with mob-movie tension and a revenge twist that flips the power dynamic. It’s stylish, chaotic in the best way, and very on-brand for her unpredictable artistry.
“Was Hannin” itself stands out in her catalog. The production — driven by glowing synths, rubbery basslines, and sharp percussion — gives the record a funky bounce that feels playful but polished. Tia leans into melodic chant-style delivery with effortless confidence, while Wiz slides in smooth, adding laid-back charisma and sharp punchlines that match the track’s energy perfectly.
The record is another highlight from CORINIAN, an album that showcases just how versatile she’s become. Featuring appearances from Saweetie, Flo Milli, J.I.D, Smino, Pouya, Hit-Boy, and Kenny Beats, the project has been widely praised for its risk-taking and genre-blending approach.
Pitchfork highlighted the album as one to listen to now, noting how unpredictable it is, while HYPEBEAST described it as her most polished work to date. Rolling Out also called her one of the most creative voices in new music — and this rollout proves exactly why.
Visually, she hasn’t missed. From the kawaii-inspired fantasy of “Lotion” with Flo Milli, to the chaotic chase vibe of “Backyard” with J.I.D, to the ballroom-infused energy of “ATE,” each video adds another layer to the world she’s building. Even the album trailer leaned anime-inspired, reinforcing her “final form” narrative.
CORINIAN completes the trilogy that began with her debut album I Can’t Wait and continued through 2024’s Almost There EP — a journey that includes her RIAA-certified Gold breakout hit “FreakyT,” XXL Freshman honors, and major festival stages like Dreamville, Rolling Loud, and Coachella.
With “Was Hannin,” TiaCorine isn’t just adding another video to the catalog — she’s expanding her universe. The visuals are sharper, the storytelling is stronger, and the confidence feels fully realized.
