Award-winning director Kelley Kali shared the remarkable story behind her Oscar contending short “elle/elle,” a project that was born from a moment of disappointment that quickly transformed into divine alignment.

After being told “no” for a role she auditioned for, Kelley met with her close friend la georgea, who has an interesting relationship dynamic that has worked for 30 years.
