West Hollywood was glowing last night as ASCAP hosted its 17th annual Women Behind the Music celebration at The Fleur Room — and the star power did not disappoint. Three of today’s most influential singer-songwriters, Kehlani, Kali Uchis, and EJAE, were honored for their impact, artistry, and leadership across the global music landscape.
The night highlighted the brilliance of women shaping the sound of today — and the numbers behind these artists prove exactly why they deserve their flowers.
Three Powerhouse Women. One Iconic Night.

Kali Uchis, who has entered the Spotify Billions Club four times and continues to dominate with genre-blending hits like the massive “telepatía,” was recognized for her artistry and global reach.

EJAE, the rising star and three-time Grammy-nominated songwriter behind K-Pop Demon Hunters’ record-breaking single “Golden,” also received honors — marking her moment as one of the most exciting new forces in music.
ASCAP Continues to Uplift Women in Music
Presented by the ASCAP Membership team, Women Behind the Music is an annual commitment to spotlighting female creatives across songwriting, artistry, and executive leadership.
Nicole George-Middleton, ASCAP’s EVP & Head of Creative Membership, presented each honoree with a custom plaque and spoke on ASCAP’s mission:
“We spotlight women for their impactful contributions to the music community, but we also hope to inspire the next generation of young women to use their artistry, leadership, and boldness… Last night, we honored three of the most extraordinary women in music today.”
