Mixxyville was on site at the Gateway Arena at The NXT Awards, presented by Now Thats TV, brought a night of celebration, recognition, and cultural pride to the forefront. The event shined a spotlight on Black excellence—honoring entertainers, entrepreneurs, and creatives who are shaping the culture and making waves in their respective industries.
Hosted by Tia Kemp, the show set the tone for an evening filled with laughter, energy, and authentic celebration. Her charismatic presence helped guide the night as artists, influencers, and industry leaders took the stage to receive their well-deserved recognition.
The evening’s honorees reflected the diverse range of talent driving today’s creative landscape. Premodanna took home Entrepreneur of the Year for her business leadership and growing influence.

V12 was recognized as Local Hotspot of the Year, solidifying its reputation as one of the community’s go-to destinations.

Rising star Bellygang Kushington earned Male Artist of the Year, while YK Niece claimed the Breakout Star award for her undeniable momentum and star power.
The show was packed with energy and standout performances from YK Niece, Bunna B, Diamond the Body, Sukihana, Big Boogie, DaBaby, and Vanity Rose, each bringing their own unique sound and style to the stage.
One of the night’s most surprising and memorable acts came from Vanity Rose, whose combination of tight harmonies, strong vocals, and captivating stage presence wowed the crowd.

YK Niece kept the momentum a going with a great set that had the arena singing the lyrics word for word, even bringing out Bellygang Kushington to perform their collaboration “Friend Do.”
Diamond the Body also did her big one and brought out Ivori for a live performance of their joint track.

Big Boogie delivered one of the night’s most high-energy sets, followed by DaBaby, who closed the show with the confidence and charisma of a seasoned performer.
For its first year, the NXT Awards was a resounding success—creating a space where creatives and entrepreneurs could be recognized for their hard work, talent, and impact.

The night was more than an award show; it was a celebration of culture, unity, and the continued rise of Black excellence.
